The main aim of our General English courses is to teach students to speak English fluently and to understand English as it is spoken by native speakers. We provide a balanced programme of skills development (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing and Grammar).

Are you interested in an English course that offers you some time for sightseeing in addition to comprehensive classroom work? A Semi-Intensive English course offers the balance to enjoy your destination and finish your course with a higher level of English. Semi-Intensive English Courses focus on the four main aspects of language: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The General English course consists of 20 lessons each week and is the least intensive option offered at Kaplan. This course allows students to improve their English while still leaving time for sightseeing and leisure during their stay.

The Intensive Course is perfect if you want to increase your fluency in a short period of time. Aside from an intensive schedule of General English lessons, you will be able to choose from a range of Special Interest Groups subject to availability.

A broad General English course which is specifically designed to improve your overall language skills across the 4 key areas — reading, writing, listening, speaking — whilst leaving plenty of free time to enjoy your time outside of class. You’ll gain confidence through total immersion in English Structure: - 20 lessons (15 hours) per week, usually taking place every morning from Monday to Friday.

Studying General English, you will increase your vocabulary, enhance your grammar, improve your written work and strengthen your reading skills.

We have many years’ experience in helping students improve their English Language skills in a friendly, international setting. All tutors on English Language programmes are native speakers, and are at least CELTA-qualified.

This course combines our Standard General English Course (20 lessons) and 5 one-to-one private lessons per week. The course is designed to improve students’ abilities to use language accurately and fluently while concentrating on the skills of listening, reading, speaking and writing.

Centre of English Studies gives students the unique opportunity to study in two countries in any of our centres. The Multi-Destination Course gives students the opportunity to live in both England and Ireland and more about the culture, history and social life of both countries.

A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn. You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.
