Escuela de Idiomas Nerja is a private, independent school dedicated primarily to teaching Spanish
as a foreign language. It also gives English lessons and provides student accommodation.
The School was founded in 1980 by the current directors, Luis Carrión and Renate Urban.
Its educational activities include sixteen Spanish programmes for all ages and interests, Spanish
Language and Culture courses, and courses for specific purposes: preparation for DELE examinations,
business Spanish, and Spanish for the tourist trade.
The School completes its core activities with an attractive programme of cultural and leisure
activities related to the educational process.
It provides various accommodation options at its own facilities: Club Costa Nerja, a student hotel
with room for 50 students which is also a cultural centre and a student community centre. Other
options include Spanish host families and apartments.

Escuela de Idiomas Nerja is a School Accredited by Instituto Cervantes.
It belongs to several languages teaching Associations in Spain and abroad: IALC (International
Association of Language Centres), FEDELE and Español en Andalucía. It cooperates with the
Madrid Chamber of Commerce, the University of Castilla La Mancha and ESERP (business
school).
The School submits to regular inspections and audits by external agents that guarantee the
services are given to its students.
The facilities are top quality and in the Andalusian style.
School on No. 73 Almirante Ferrándiz Street, Club Costa Nerja (School Hotel), at No. 39 San Juan
Street, built in the Arab-Andalusian style. It has 30 comfortable rooms with bath and air conditioning.
Apartments Club Costa Nerja, situated next to the School, for one or two students each, very
comfortable, with air conditioning, WIFI access, and good views of the garden or the mountains.
