Ahlan World offers Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) courses across 8 levels, from absolute beginner to advanced. MSA is the standard Arabic that forms the basis of all Arabic dialects across the Arab world.
Jordanian Colloquial Arabic (JCA) courses offer students an immersive study of the Jordanian dialect, which is used by locals for everyday interactions and conversation.
The Jordanian dialect is very similar to other Levantine dialects, which include those spoken in Lebanon and Syria, and is also closer to MSA than many different Arabic dialects, especially those used in northern Africa.
One-on-one classes at the school are available all year round upon request and can be combined with normal courses.

If you want to study Arabic with an emphasis on Jordanian dialect (‘Amiya), then this is the right program for you. Over the course of 10 weeks of intensive language study, Levant will teach you how to get around and communicate effectively in ‘Amiya about topics central to life in Jordan.
Taught exclusively in Arabic, this course helps students understand news articles and journalistic outputs from Arabic-language media outlets, such as television and radio broadcasters, magazines, and newspapers. Through learning to synthesize information from various sources and exchanging views with native Arabic speakers, students enrolled in this course will develop an understanding of both vocabulary related to war and peace and Jordanian perspectives towards the conflicts that afflict the Middle East. By the end of this course, students will be able to engage in discussions about war and peace in the Middle East and effectively exchange viewpoints with interlocutors whose opinions might differ from their own.
