Both our permanent and part time teachers that form part of the teaching staff are professionals with more than 3 years of experience and continue their training by assisting courses on a regular basis focused on our needs in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. All our teachers have University degrees in Spanish Philology and are guided by the head of studies.
Trinity School was founded in 1986. We are an accredited language school and form part of the network of accredited Instituto Cervantes School, which is the highest authority in the teaching of the Spanish Language.

The school is located on a quiet side street, in the new centre of El Puerto de Santa Maria beside the Bull Ring and is only a 10 minute walk from the well known Historical Centre which its wonderful, vibrant old part of the city where the best bars, restaurants and nightlife is.
The port is located in the centre of the old city, a 10-minute walk from the school and from where we take the old ferry on our trips to Cadiz. The school is perfectly situated near the main Avenue to give students easy access to tapas bars, café shops, banks, pharmacies and shops. Also the nearest beach is just 15 minutes on foot. Our school is housed in a modern, newly decorated building and has a really relaxed atmosphere with modern school furniture, a kitchen and a library with computers.

9 spacious and bright classrooms all with natural sunlight and air conditioning/heating, a charming brightly painted social area for break time, a kitchen and free access to computers with high speed internet/e-mail. Our students come from around the world, many are Europeans and the school has a maximum capacity of about 142 students.
Because of the 15Kms of magnificent golden sandy beaches, the short distances between the school, its host family accommodation and the city centre, this is a great location for school groups.

The nationality and age mix at Trinity School varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 16. In the summer, the average age is 15.

The Natural Park of the Bay of Cadiz represents its natural resource, mostly when its beaches, which total 16kms of its coast, all are of fine golden sand and are graced with more than 3.000 hours of sunlight per year.
History (eighth century BC.). According to legend, the city was founded by Menestheo; an Athenian soldier who arrived to this area after the Troja War. The first name of the city was "Menestheo port. " In 711 the Muslims won the battle against the Goths and occupied Spain. The city becomes a Muslim town with the name of "Alcanatif" . Muslim were in El Puerto de Santa Maria until 1260 when they were expluded by the King of Castilla Alfonso X who change the name of the town as "Puerto de Santa Maria" in honor of the Virgin.
Christopher Columbus stayed in the city between 1483 and 1486. The first map of America was drawn by Juan de la Cosa ( owner of Santa Maria´s ship ) in the town of El Puerto de Santa Maria, in 1500.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying Spanish in Puerto de Santa Maria. These homes are often between 5 - 15 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
