Villanova (Biddanòa in Sardinian language) is the ancient suburb of farmers and artisans, made of colored terrace houses (still very well preserved) and numerous shops of carpenters and potters. Close to the b&b, there is a vast choice of restaurants, pizzeria, and pubs; and in the neighbors, Via Manno and Via Garibaldi, there are several boutiques, bookstores and craftsman shops. The cultural sites of the zone are the Basilica of St. Saturnino, the Cloister of St. Domenico, the Art Gallery and the Lyric Theater. Among the events, we signal the rites of the holy week a folk custom very appreciated by the tourists.
Diese Schule vermittelt sehr erfolgreich neben den sprachlichen Kompetenzen auch viel Kutur und Historie über Italien.

Maura is an excellent Direttrice, Federica, Laura and Monica are excellent!! everything contributed to the knowledge of the city, its history and the language!!
The accommodation in Manuela's house was another plus point, right in the center of the city and close to the school. Manuela was a cordial and atheist antifriona!! Everything was spectacular, I recommend living this experience with a sea environment, sunny walks, nice people, good food and an incredible group of people. I highly recommend studying at L'Accademia!! Thanks everybody!!!!
The classes are small and our teacher Monica was really great. There are also lessons outside the classroom, at the market or in the city. I recommend the school 100% if you want to learn Italian. Was a great experience!

School is very good in all aspects: very good teachers, interesting adaptive learning program, very interesting out of school events arranged and overall good support in all the areas of the stay in Cagliari. Loved the opportunity to enjoy other activities in Cagliari - very nice city, fantastic beach.

The teachers do a great job and the lessons were always varied, even with lots of activity. I learned a lot and even made new friends. I'm sure I'll come back! Thanks to Maura, who always made sure we were happy.

There is always a lot of space for personal exchange, and learning about general and language topics based on individual level and wishes. The classes and excursions really help to get your Italian skills of the ground. And learn about the lovely city of Cagliari and the island Sardinia as well.
I have been taken multiple courses over a couple of years, and always look forward to come back and improve my Italian even more :-)
Classes were well organised and the teachers interesting, interested and prepared. the location on Sardinia and in Cagliari lovely. The street central and easy to find. Facilities very good.I enjoyed too the extracurricular visits and trips. The apartment I was in recommended by the school was well located and more than adequate. with a kind landlord.
I would have liked more students in my class to encourage more discussion.
I liked to see a movie in Italian once a week. I didn't like doing the lessons outside the school. I think we have lost time to do grammar
Show details » Read more...I thought I had arranged to attend classes from Monday to Friday in week 1, and Monday to Thursday in week 2.
In reality, there were three days of public holiday during this period. So instead of 9 days x 4-hour classes, (36 hours),
there were only 6 days of teaching during this period (24 hours). I was ill with a migraine one day so actually only attended 5 days (20 hours).
We were four in the class and I was taught separately for most of this as my grammar was of a lower standard than the others.
My teacher was very good and very nice but I could have done this at home, so I would not repeat it. Floriana and Laura were great teachers.
I received a certificate for 40 hours, which is not the case.
The classrooms were dingy.
Dear Margaret,
I am very sorry for your words, I have always been at your disposal and I have often asked you if everything was going well and your answer has always been that your only problem was the accommodation (which was not proposed to you by me).
Another thing I don't understand is the complaints about the teacher as yours was always Floriana during the 2 weeks. You could've just expressed your doubts about the stuff you did when you were here.
As for the certificate, we always write down the information about the course the students are enrolling in, we do not calculate the attendance.
As far as the days of closure are concerned, the school has kept to the respect of the national holidays as per the calendar.
I have always been at your disposal to listen to your needs and make sure that your stay went well, I'm sorry that has not taken advantage of my availability and the teachers to solve small things that would have made your stay more enjoyable.
The school is small, the staff are very nice and helpful, two of my three weeks at the school i had a teacher (Francesca) and she was great! She has the greatest patience ever and she has the feeling for the right level to push you forward and the right amount so it´s not overwhelming, i had the opportunity to talk much and we went outside the school to talk, this i liked alot!
I lived wtih a couple in the center of Cagliari, and i´m so content with this place! I had a big room, my own bathroom, it was clean and my landlady was so nice now when i´m back home i really miss her company!
I spent 2016 summer holiday in Cagliari with the intention of improving my knowledge of Italian language. With my friend Martina, we enrolled the L'Accademia school for foreigners and we spent two beautiful weeks in Cagliari learning Italian every morning at the school with the afternoons reserved for free activities such as sightseeing, and visiting beautiful beaches nearby. The teachers at the school were very professional, very entertaining, and very kind. The school offered wide range of extra curricular activities such as cultural and historical sightseeing of Cagliari and the historical spots nearby (Nuraghe and the town of Igleasias with the famous Museo dell'arte mineraria). In addition with studying Italian, we have also learned a lot of Sardinian culture (la cultura Sarda), and its tradition. The Sardinian people were very warm and open and they made our stay a pleasant one. I must also mention a very beautiful nature and known worldwide, beautiful beaches, especially La spiagga Chia! One must also not leave without tasting Sardinian culinary specialties! I highly recommend visiting Cagliari and taking summer classes at L'Accademia Scuola per stranieri!
Greetings to Maura, Stefania and Francesca!
I first attended L'Accademia Cagliari in 2014 and I returned in 2015 and 2016.
Classes were well organised while still being sufficiently flexible to allow follow up on issues where deeper digging is required.
The teachers were lovely - very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Not only were they efficient, professional teachers but also great human beings.
The school is within close walking distance to the city center.
Included in my courses were an introductory tour of Cagliari and an Italian film within the school building.
My accommodation has always been clean and convenient, with agreeable hosts. The host has treated me like a part of her family and whom I consider as a friend. Again nothing is too much trouble. My accommodation was just a close walking distance of the city center and the school.
Too bad that I wasn't able to stay longer but I always look forward to my return.
