"Really excellent teaching, very pleasant atmosphere and most enjoyable.."

Breandán Mac Cormaic, student from Ireland

The teacher, Amparo was really excellent. After the first day she chose subjects that she knew i was interested in and prepared well for the class, which was always lively and varied. This was a one to one class for 3 hours per day with only a 15 minute break, and with the need to wear a mask. Amparo came through with great success.
The location is perfect, near to the centre of the old town. Facilities good, activities interesting.
I arranged my own accommodation.

Good, comfortable, welcoming accommodation makes all the difference to your Spanish studies in Spain, Ecuador, or in Cuba. We understand this and work hard to give you the best choice of accommodation in all destinations.

Homestay is the most popular choice in all Sampere destinations. You live with a host family, sharing meals and facilities and practising your Spanish in a traditional and friendly environment. Bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. Host families will do a small amount of your laundry once a week. Internet access is normally not possible in homestays, but more and more families have wifi internet access and allow students to use it.

Most students book a single room. Students under 25 years can book double rooms. Two people travelling together may request a double room.

The locations are varied, ranging from houses at a walking distance from the city-center and the school to houses located in other interesting neighbourhoods further away from the school, and in which cases, public transport is necessary.

Good, comfortable, welcoming accommodation makes all the difference to your Spanish studies in Spain, Ecuador, or in Cuba. We understand this and work hard to give you the best choice of accommodation in all destinations.

Renting a student room gives you a more independent lifestyle. You share an apartment with 2 to 4 other people, usually other Sampere students, with whom you also share certain expenses such as toiletries and cleaning materials. You have a private and basic room (bed, table, closet, lamps, window). The kitchen, living room and bathroom are communal. Together you are responsible for keeping the apartment clean.

The minimum stay in a student room is 1 week. We advise long-term students to book the first four weeks before arrival. Once in Spain, you can extend the rental period. The locations are varied, ranging from apartments at a walking distance from the city-center and the school to apartments located in other interesting neighbourhoods up to 15 minutes away from the school by public transport.

School location

Estudio Sampere Salamanca is located in the historic city center, just a 5-minute walk from the Plaza Mayor. This school is famous for its friendly atmosphere, and consists of seven classrooms equipped with digital blackboards, and comfortable facilities. We also have a multi-use room with a projector for cultural activities, lectures, cooking classes and more.

Each classroom is equipped with air conditioning and heating. Students may borrow books, CDs and DVDs, tailored to their Spanish level from our library for free. We have computers with internet access available for our students, as well as WI-FI for them to use their own devices.

We offer cultural activities from Mondays to Thursdays, and day excursions on Saturdays. Students will find all relevant information on our bulletin boards. Students may also get a free newspaper edited by the University, which is updated every Monday, and receive information about the city’s cultural agenda.

THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The school is located in the city center, and is therefore surrounded by historical buildings, such as the Palacio de Fonseca. It is a quiet, pedestrian neighborhood where students can walk safely. It also boasts many cafés, shops, restaurants, gift shops/newsstands, less than one minute from the school premises.

We are located just minutes from the Pontifical University, the Casa de las Conchas (public library), the historical building of the University of Salamanca, the Cathedrals, the Plaza Mayor, the Rúa Mayor, and
many more sights and points of interest.

THE CITY
Salamanca is the quintessential University City, one of the safest cities in Europe, and home to a great cultural offer throughout the year, mostly for free. The Plaza Mayor is the heart of the city and there, you will find people day and night “under the clock” (meeting point for all people and students). You can enjoy an artisan ice cream at the “Novelty” cafeteria, or a chocolate with churros at the “Valor” chocolaterie, while having an interesting chat with other students.

If you like History, we recommend strolling through the city’s main street, or Rua Mayor, where you will find typical local souvenirs, such as the Charro Buttons, University t-shirts, and “frogs”. It is also the only street in the city where all stores open every day of the week.
