The Tuscan city of Pisa is located in Central Italy. It is the capital city of the Province of Pisa. This city, with its history dating back to approximately 1000 BC, was once an important naval base. Students enrolled in Italian school in Pisa are surely aware of the famous leaning tower, but may not be aware that this city also is the home to many other historical sites. Adjacent to the Leaning Tower, be sure to visit Pisa’s cathedral and Baptistery, both beautiful architecturally, inside and out. The National Museum of St. Matthew houses an impressive collection of painting from the 12th and 18th centuries, as well as a variety of sculptures. For those wanting to get a great view of the entire city, try visiting the lesser known Old Citadel and Guelph Tower. Pisa is located at the junction of two rivers, the Arno and the Serchio. It is truly a university town, with a high population of students. Students taking Italian courses in Pisa will enjoy exploring its medieval center to enjoy the various restaurants, but might also enjoy shopping at its unique vegetable market. Visitors might also enjoy a stroll through the oldest botanic garden in Europe, or one of Pisa’s many other parks and gardens. The Standard Course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. The courses focus heavily on speaking and communication skills, offering the evìffective use of language structures.
The Intensive course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. The courses focus heavily on speaking and communication skills: the morning consists of 4 group lessons in communication skills,where students are also asked to practice specific gramnar items in a passive and productive way to to enhance their effectiveness in using the language.
Group lessons: 45 minutes each
Individual lessons: 60 minutes each.
This course is designed for those who wish to complete a specific course of study in a short time, but prefer only one hour of lessons in the afternoon.
A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn.
You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.
