Finland is a land of thousands of lakes and islands with some the most open land per capita in all of Europe, which means plenty of space to spread out and plenty of gorgeous views to enjoy along the way. One of Finland’s highlights is its capital city of Helsinki on the shores of the Gulf of Finland-- with many small cafés, universities, and a vibrant nightlife. As the country has begun to modernize it has attracted many visitors who enjoy everything from cruises between major ports to activities like skiing, golf, fishing, kayaking and hiking. A remote and majestic land, you will make the perfect decision choosing Finnish courses in Finland. And keep your eye out for the Northern Lights, or Revontulet as the Finnish call them, which literally means "foxfire". As ancient legend goes, the tail of a running fox striking the snow makes these amazing sparks up into the sky.
A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn.
You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.

How long should I study?
The minimum duration for a language course is usually two weeks, but students benefit the most starting from the 3rd and 4th weeks of their language course, after they get used to the new environment. By this time, the early distractions are over and the student has "settled in". The average student takes about 12 weeks of language studies abroad.
