The city of Edmond is located in the state of Oklahoma and is considered part of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. It is in the central portion of the state. The first schoolhouse ever built in Oklahoma was built in Edmond and still stands today. The town seemed to spring up overnight during the Oklahoma land run in April of 1889. Students enrolled in English school in Edmond should be sure to visit the Edmond Historical Society and Museum to learn more about the history of this town. The main gallery gives visitors a glimpse into the lives of early pioneers to the area. For a chance to enjoy some amazing performances, be sure to visit the beautiful Armstrong Auditorium. It is an eight story facility that aims to bring world class performances, in all of the arts, to the heart of Oklahoma. Even when a show is not scheduled, the auditorium is an interesting venue to visit, simply for its beauty. Semi-Intensive English is for students who want to come to the United States to learn English but not necessarily attend a university after completion. TLC’s Semi-Intensive English integrates the development of listening and speaking skills, structural accuracy, and everyday communication.
This program contains six non-sequential modules and is designed to prepare students for standardized tests that measure English proficiency. Students participate in various practice activities, learn about and practice test-taking strategies, and further develop their English across skill areas.
