GEOS Languages Plus Vancouver
Our exam preparation courses are semi-intensive courses which focus on preparing you for specific exams. The structure is similar to that of semi-intensive courses but with more of a long-term goal. This structure is ideal for students who prefer a more thorough, in-depth language course.
The TOEFL exam is a respected academic language test. Many universities require the TOEFL examination for evidence of language proficiency. The test therefore includes the vocabulary and form that is required in the various universities departments.
Lessons:
4 lessons per day
20 lessons per week
5 days a week (Monday to Friday)
1 lesson = 45 minutes.
Topics: Grammar, phonology , vocabulary, emphasis on communicative methods of learning, cultural and social topics.
Course topics include: a morning focus on grammar and an afternoon focus on listening and speaking.
Class schedule may change depending on availability and season.

The GEOS Vancouver campus is located right in the heart of Gastown, beloved place of international students for its charm, historical heritage and cultural events, fine shops and restaurants. It is the oldest area of Vancouver and features Victorian-style buildings. Students of GEOS Vancouver can see the famous Steam Clock right from the school’s windows. Not too far from Gastown is the third largest Chinatown in North America, where students can shop for souvenirs and enjoy very authentic Chinese food.

All people there received me so well. I just stayed there a week but I am sure I want to go back next year to stay more time and study at least a month. All teachers are amazing, they know how to teach us and let the class funnier.

The teachers were attentive and patient for every question and inquiries of students. The result was an improvement in all aspect of the English language.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Vancouver. These homes are often between 30 - 75 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 18+. We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged C$ 97 when you register.
