I stayed with a very nice home stay family a bit further away but they took good care of me and therefore I liked it. You have to be a bit careful at night. But apart from that Cartagena is a lovely town to stay at. There were several restaurants, bars and clubs and you can easily go to and very nice beaches that you can visit over the weekends i.e. to play a blanca.
The school is located at the city center. The teachers were good. The only downside is that there were too many Swiss people. For me as Swiss, this is not what I want when I'm abroad. However, apart from that I have no complaints. Try the salsa lessons if you have the opportunity. They were great!

The 30 hours course is 20 hours group lessons + 10 hours private (which would help
go deeper in the contents studied in the group lessons and work in the
students weaknesses. The Bildungsurlaub is a certification we have been trying to get from
germany, but first we need somebody (potencial client) that would ask this
school to be part of it. Anyways we are working on it and we should get it
soon. Nevertheless we can provide the 30 hours programs and cover
political training throught the classes contents and tests.
