Castila is located in a traditional house in the beautiful Albaycin, with views of the Alhambra. We offer many different Spanish courses including intensive courses, DELE preparation, business Spanish, refreshers for Spanish teachers, etc.
The language courses in CastiLa are interactive, class sizes are deliberately kept small (maximum six per class) and participation in the college social programme enthusiastically encouraged. After classes, some food, and maybe a siesta, professors and students meet to enjoy tapas or indulge in whatever activity going on that day to enjoy Spanish culture and put the Spanish learnt to good use.In Castila you will find professors and students from all walks of life and from all over the world, forming friendships and experiencing life in Spain together.
All our teachers are native Spanish speakers with two basic requirements: they have the highest university qualifications and they have specific training in teaching Spanish as a second language. They are, without a doubt, the most valuable part of CastiLa.
The nationality and age mix at CastiLa, escuela internacional de español varies over different time periods, courses and levels.
CastiLa does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
I had opted for an individual lesson; therefore, I was of course always alone in the class.
One of the two teachers suited me very well. The lessons I received from the other teacher were not okay according to my point of view; it was also the reason why I decided to cancel the last two lessons.
The book itself wasn't brilliant either: no organization and very difficult for someone who knows nothing of Spanish. There was never a repetition of the lesson before, on the contrary, you had not yet studied the new words and new ones were already appearing. It is not a good way to learn a new language.
I returned home very disappointed. In the meantime, my enthusiasm for learning Spanish has dropped below zero. Sorry to be so negative but it is my experience, my opinion.
