Course description

Are you looking for a more individual classroom environment? Then one-on-one or one-on-two lessons might be a great option to personalize your learning experience with Tamwood.

With private tuition, a Tamwood instructor can customize lessons to your personal language learning needs, such as focusing on specific vocabulary, skills, or interests. You can also accelerate your learning by combining afternoon/weekend private lessons with morning group lessons. Private or semi-private tuition is especially popular with executives, professionals, and those with specific English learning goals.

If you are totally new to learning English, no worries! You can book private tuition on Level 1 and join our General English Course once you have reached Tamwood Level 2.

School description

Tamwood International College in Toronto is located in the heart of downtown on the corner of Yonge and Eglinton streets. We are on the 14th floor and the Toronto subway system has a stop in the basement of the building. The school is a place where you can study, relax, and have fun with six large bright classrooms, a state of the art computer language lab, student lounge and kitchen.

You can learn English in Canada and meet a lot of people from all around the world. The average age of our students is around 24 years-old, however students at the Toronto English school range in age from 17 to 70. Tamwood has a strict "English Only" policy in all of its schools, which means that students are required to speak English only while in the school and on activities. This rule, combined with the friendly atmosphere at Tamwood, encourages students to get to know their classmates of other nationalities and learn English faster as they practice it with their new friends.

Tamwood's English teachers are experienced and certified English instructors with university degrees, TESOL Canada certification, and a minimum of one-year English teaching experience. Both the teachers and staff at Tamwood believe that working for Tamwood is more than just a job; it is an experience that they really enjoy every day. The teachers and staff at Tamwood care about every student and are always there to help students, to answer questions, and to make students feel welcome. Your teachers at Tamwood will do more than teach you English; they will be there to support you and guide you in your time in Canada.

Tamwood International College is situated in the heart of downtown, one block west of Bloor & Yonge street, the hub of Toronto. Our learning center is on the 12th floor with five spacious and bright classrooms, a student lounge, dining area, and an underground passage that leads to the subway station. Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged C$ 105 when you register.
