Our English school is just a short walk from the Royal Liver Building, from whose roofs the mythical Liver Birds watch over the town – and the Cavern Club, where the Beatles first performed.
All the world once flowed through the port of Liverpool: coffee, sugar, silk – and people all passed through Britain’s gateway to the Atlantic. Liverpool’s legacy of seafaring and trade is tangible in the stark grandeur of the Victorian docks and warehouses and the extravagant buildings created to display the wealth of the city’s Edwardian merchants and bankers. And you can sense its history as a cultural melting pot in the music with which Liverpool continues to reach out to the world.
Overall organization: deceptive. Personal attendance: deceptive.
I stated very clearly that I needed high-level grammar lessons plus improve my writing skills to achieve beyond 7 in IELTS. I was given an entry test, where I scored a proficiency level. I was put in an intermediate-advanced level class, mixed with pupils enable to write a single sentence in English. Teachers knew far less grammar than myself and, what is worse, did not have their lessons prepared. They spoke a very basic English, with a range of vocabulary that would not get a 7 in IELTS.
Moreover, the website offers 28 lessons per week in the course I paid for (IELTS Supplementary). I was given 15 lessons per week. In Spain, we call this a CHEAT.
And I won't spend my time talking about accommodation because there are no adjectives to describe how awful they were.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Liverpool. These homes are often between 25 - 50 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 18+. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Student residences often do not include any meal plan.
