Alexandria Institute offers accelerated group courses in Greek language and culture. The courses, held in Samos island and lasting for two weeks, are intended for students at levels A1 through C2, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Our love for the Greek language and our expertise in teaching Modern Greek provide us with the appropriate tools in our effort to turn the learning procedure into an exclusive and entertaining educational experience. At the same time, the unparalleled Samos island historical heritage makes this place ideal for hosting the Institute’s educational and cultural events.
Focusing specifically on the students’ special needs, preferences and interests, our courses can be arranged in a way that meets those requirements. In addition to teaching the language, we offer cultural activities. The courses are part of a wide range of training and cultural activities aimed at presenting you with a complete educational and cultural experience in Samos.

Course Info
Classes take place from Monday until Sunday, from 9pm to 1am with a break on Thursday during the first week. On the second week there is a break on Monday and lessons continue from Tuesday until Friday. Alexandria Institute reserves the right to modify the schedule as well as arrange some afternoon/evening courses in case tutors or rooms are unavailable.
Courses: 2 to 4 hours a day depending on the number of participants

Why In Samos?
Picking up the language isn’t the only goal of this particular language and culture course. In fact, it is just a part of an all-embracing experience which seeks to acquaint you with the local customs providing you with a thorough insight into the island through the language as well as through local everyday life. Scheduled activities help students become familiar with the island’s cuisine, architecture and heritage as well as immerse them into its authentic spirit.

In case attendance is greater than expected, further excursions and tour guides may be added. The original itinerary may have to be modified, in response to unexpected weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. A minimum attendance of three students is required for our cultural course to take place.

Alexandria Institute organizes a Modern Greek language and culture course for all levels on one of the most popular islands, Samos, in July. Students can enroll for an one-week or two-week course. We also offer an Ancient Greek language course, at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, as well as a Greek literature and culture course. Classes are held at Pantheon hotel and other locations , in the area of Ormos Marathokampou, Samos.

Pantheon is a 3-star Apartments & Studios complex owned by Manolis and Maria. They have named it Pantheon, which means all Gods as well as it describes the ancient Greek Intellectuality. Therefore the apartment or studio of your choice is named after one of the Gods known from the Greek mythology, or one of the ancient philosophers or mathematicians.
The Apartments & Studios are located on Samos island, an island in the North Aegean and known for her green landscaping and amazing beaches. You can find the Apartments & Studios in Ormos, a picturesque fishing village, where the Greek tradition is still alive.
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
