"Good experience but conditions not exactly appropriate to me (Isla)"

Isla Darbo-Pautrot, student from French Polynesia

comments writed by her father
Isla is almost 8 years old (next week).

I was very happy that the school has accept to take her for the junior program (normally it starts at 8) +++

I have to specify Isla was accompanied by her tall sister who is 10 and half years old.
So, for my rating, this is a general appreciation, for the both (rate for Isla 3,5/5 rate for Zoe 4,5/5)
Isla and Zoe spent only two weeks. It was too short but we are unable to do more.
And, unfortunately, we've lost two days :
- the first monday necessary to evaluate english level (that's normal)
- the second monday dedicated to Marthin Luther king (public holiday)
It should be good to pay the real number of days spend at school.

The organisation was serious ( staff, schedule : courses during the morning and afternoons reserved for "fun"); the environment was also secured.
And the teacher was pedagogue. It was certainly easier for her cause she only had three students : my daughters and an other one (the school had decided to gather young students, not a lot at this period)
The only fact i regret is the age of this little girl, cute but probably too young (6 and half) to learn a foreign langage in these conditions.

I don't exclude to come back to LSI Berkley

PS : sorry for the faults

Visa support

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.

If you are studying full time in the United States for more than 18 hours per week, you will receive an I-20 that you need to submit to the US embassy along with your F-1 student visa application. The I-20 has a SEVIS tracking number on it. Students who wish to apply for a student visa must pay the SEVIS fee online before going to the US embassy or consulate for their visa interview.

Your I-20 will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.

Please note that United States law states that an I-20 can only be issued to students who intend to pursue full-time English language studies. United States law does not permit students to study part-time with an F-1 Student Visa. If you are studying for less than 18 hours per week, you have to apply for a Visitor Visa (B1/B2) on your own.
