Alexandria Institute
Sing up for the Greek language courses on Paros, study Greek and discover everything about this famous Cyclades island’s traditions, beaches, heritage and contemporary life.
Alexandria Institute organizes a Modern Greek language and culture course for all levels on one of the most popular Cyclades islands, Paros, in July. Students can enroll for a one-week, two-week, three-week or four-week course. An Ancient Greek language course, at basic, intermediate and advanced levels, as well as a Greek literature and culture course are also on offer.
But picking up the language isn’t the only goal of this particular language and culture course. In fact, it is just a part of an all-embracing experience which seeks to get you acquainted with the local customs in order to provide you with a thorough insight of the island through the language as well as people’s everyday life. Every scheduled activity is directed at the students becoming familiar with the island’s cuisine, architecture and heritage as well as helping them experience its authentic aura.
Our courses include:
1. Teaching material
2. A cultural walk or a guided tour to a museum
3. A welcome dinner
4. A farewell dinner
5. A Greek movie screening or a lecture on a subject related to Greek culture
6. A dance lesson, or a cooking lesson, or a Greek music workshop
7. Attendance certificate
In case attendance is greater than expected, further excursions and tour guides may be added, while the initial itinerary may have to be modified, responding to unexpected weather or other events. A minimum attendance of three is required for our cultural course to take place.
