The LSI Intensive 30 Course is for students who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. The Intensive 30 Course concentrates on all the areas that students need to achieve a much greater fluency in a short period of time. This course is suitable for students who wish to study intensively and get a well rounded insight into the language and country.
The courses focus heavily on speaking and communication skills: the morning consists of four lessons in communication skills, while the afternoon classes further intensify the tuition and consolidate what students have learnt through fluency practice and a comprehensive review of the culture and customs of their host country. For those studying English who work in business or are planning a career in business, we offer the LSI Modular English for Business Course, which can be incorporated into your Intensive 30 Course as an afternoon or morning option. Students may also follow examination preparation courses as part of this course.
The classes stress the use of language in everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day, students will work on grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary, while in the other 2 lessons, they will focus on reading, writing, speaking and listening. Textbooks and a variety of other materials are used in instruction, including role-playing, newspapers, magazines and other materials. Students focus on special topics and classes in the afternoon. Topics include: fluency practice, media studies, film and theater, local culture, current events, politics, and research using the internet. Intermediate and advanced students also have the option of studying in the test-preparation and business classes.

If you are studying full time in the United States for more than 18 hours per week, you will receive an I-20 that you need to submit to the US embassy along with your F-1 student visa application. The I-20 has a SEVIS tracking number on it. Students who wish to apply for a student visa must pay the SEVIS fee online before going to the US embassy or consulate for their visa interview.
Your I-20 will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged $95 when you register.
Please note that United States law states that an I-20 can only be issued to students who intend to pursue full-time English language studies.
