Course description

IELTS EXAM PREPARATION

IELTS is the International English Language Testing System, which tests English proficiency across all levels. It is run by Cambridge ESOL, IDP Education Australia and the British Council. The exam includes Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.

IELTS EXAM

IELTS is arguably the world’s most recognised English exam, testing proficiency across all levels. It is run by Cambridge ESOL, IDP Education Australia and the British Council and obtaining a high score in IELTS gives students access to a range of new education, immigration and employment opportunities around the world.

The exam comprises Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking sections and is available in two forms, General and Academic.

Academic IELTS
The Academic paper is for those who want to attend university in an English-speaking country and is a requirement for certain professions – such as medical workers – who wish to work in an English-speaking country.

General IELTS
The General paper is not taken as often as the Academic, and is usually prepared for by those who want to gain an English qualification for general work experience or wish to migrate to an English-speaking country.

Materials
Students do not need to buy a particular coursebook. Resources are compiled from different sources, including official mock exams, a variety of online resources and several popular course books such as ‘Ready For IELTS’ and ‘New Insight Into IELTS’.

The Exam
Before taking the real IELTS exam, we strongly recommend taking a full Mock exam. This is a free service provided by us, which gives the student valuable insight into the full process and experience of sitting a pressurised exam.

The IELTS exam will then take place in an IELTS centre of the student’s choosing. We can help with the booking and organising of the exam.

"Besides issues, it was very good, I enjoyed very much."

Julia Chelesa Romero Canto, student from Brazil

Good evening,
I found very confusing at the first days, because I did the test required to enter the school in General English, but they said they were having issues with the teacher, she did not show up. Than they left me in the course for IELTS tests. I subscribed for a course that was supposed to be one week and I spent 2 of my 5 days in the IELTS course but besides that everything was fine, I took some training on my university to do the exam if I want one or two times, so I already knew it a little. On the third day I went to the right class and i did a test on the end of the week, so I was supposed to lern in three days. On the other hand I already knew the subjects from my university, so I believe it worked as a review to me. Fortunately I did pass the test.

Dispite of the little problems, it was very nice, I enjoyed the classes and the staff was very kind to me, I will recommend it for sure.

Thank you for your feedback on your experience at KKCL. We are glad you enjoyed your stay despite not being placed in the course of your choice for the first two days, and that you would recommend the school in the future.
On rare occasions, and due to unforeseen circumstances- such as staff illness - KKCL chooses to combine classes similar in level. It is done in a way that always takes into consideration the new class dynamics, ensuring materials are tailored to the needs of both exam and General English Students.
When these decisions are made, we ensure to inform all students as soon as possible, making sure that everyone is satisfied with the change.
We apologise that this caused confusion for you in your initial days of studying, but we are glad that you had a good a good experience overall.

"It was amazing and enriching"

Louise Foglia, student from Canada

The classes helped me to improve my English and be more confident when I speak. The housing was perfect because the house was clean, my room was big, the food was good and most of all, the host family was welcoming.

"It was amazing."

Petra Noskova

I am very happy that we had this opportunity to stay in KKCL. For our students it was a very important experience to help them find new motivation in learning English. Teachers in KKCL are very friendly and nice and also demanding. They are very creative, encourage students to work hard. The school's location is good, not far from the city center but in a quiet area. Experience with English families was very useful for our students especially because they communicated with them a lot.

"An unforgettable trip"

tiziana panato

We liked everything about KKCL: Tuition, organization of social activities, meals, and barbecues. The only bad thing was the hotel. The teachers' rooms had no windows and the bathroom facilities were out of order.

"A memorable experience"

MANI OLFA

It was a good opportunity for me to visit London. I enjoyed class with my teacher, who by the way was an amazing person. KKCL had an interesting location; the bus station and the underground tube were very close. I thank all the staff. It is a strange town but I felt really secure all my stay.

"It was nice. I wish I can come back."

Nada Ben jlaiel

I didn't like the location of the school, but I liked the teachers. I wish the classes were more fun though, and I wish the class was more crowded, because I studied with people I knew from my country and I didn't have the chance to know people from different backgrounds so that the experience got more interesting. As for the housing, I liked the family I stayed with. I felt very welcomed and they were really nice.
