Course description

Our FLY Total program benefits from a dynamic, one-of-a-kind ambiance. Created for young adults looking for a strong linguistic preparation for their future career or university studies, the wonderful College Ste-Anne campus is cosmopolitan and open to international exchanges.

Students will receive 15 hours of French or English lessons and activities per week. French or English as a second or foreign language classes are offered at different levels. At the pre-university level, the emphasis is on reading and oral comprehension, whereas, at the advanced or business levels, the focus is on writing and oral communication.

Our unique FLY Junior program offers a wide range of sports and socio-cultural activities as an important part of its curriculum. The program's free* activities will take place during afternoons, evenings and weekends, under the supervision of dynamic and dedicated counselors. The complete FLY curriculum also includes special afternoon workshops. Each week, students will register for 5 hours of extra instruction. However, instead of a formal language lesson, students will participate in a truly enriching and challenging project in one of the following workshops:
• International Cuisine: This workshop includes 5 hours of international cuisine per week. Students will have the opportunity to cook traditional Canadian dishes as well as international menus.
• Hip-Hop: This workshop includes 5 hours of hip-hop and other dances per week. Students will not only learn the main hip-hop steps, but they will also perform a choreography.
• Multimedia/Ubisoft: This workshop is designed to give students a basic knowledge of the main elements of computers and software. It also provides them with a chance to learn more about video games, film editing or digital photography in the wonderful Collège Ste-Anne lab.

• Photography: This workshop is designed to give students a basic knowledge of the main elements of photography and provide them with explanations on how digital cameras work and how to improve their shots.
• CIT: The Counselor In Training workshop gives our international students the chance to get involved with the FLY animation team while learning the basics of group supervision, leadership and first aid training.

FLY Total offers day trips every week to give our students the chance to visit all the main attractions of our wonderful city. We truly believe that by participating in such outings, students will be better equipped to speak about different aspects of Canada's particular cultural and geographical landscapes. The excursions planned for next summer are:
Week 1: 2 days in Quebec City including Wendake Village, Musée du Fort and city tour
Week 2: Day trip to the Olympic Stadium, Botanical Garden and Biodome

Week 3: Day trip to Old Montreal including Science Center, dance cruise and the Basilica
Week 4: Day trip to Mont-Tremblant including alpine sledding, hiking and dinner at the beach

Week 5: Day trip to Ottawa City including a visit to the Canadian Parliament, museums and the Rideau Channel
