The Percorsi d’Italiano team has many years of teaching experience, both internationally and in Italy.
Our experience drawing up study programs for embassies, cultural institutes, religious institutions, universities, and international companies convinced us of the need to offer courses dedicated to the linguistic, professional and cultural needs of foreigners coming to Rome for business or leisure.
Learning a new language is a journey (percorso) of constant discovery.
At Percorsi d’Italiano, we offer custom language courses to take students beyond the mere assimilation of grammar rules. Students come into direct contact with everyday life in Italy, through both practical and cultural experiences.
As well as offering our unique, tailor-made programmes, featuring our proprietary learning-on-the-move methodology, we also offer courses in Italian for business use.
Learning on the move: Interactive Italian courses both in class and out about town.
Our “Learning on the move” Italian classes blend the best of both worlds for learning the Italian language by obtaining the basics in class and by further learning and applying on the move around town. During classroom lessons, your understanding of grammar will deepen, but the main objective of our courses is communication, which is what we elicit by inspiring you to ask and discuss things seen along the way of our walks from buildings to piazzas, cafés to churches, or architecture to archaeology.
We develop our “percorsi” or journeys according to the input and interests of students, to include walks that provide practical experiences or from a more cultural angle.
With our “Learning on the move” method, participants will gain:
a more concrete foundation: I see, I learn, I use, I memorize… I speak.
greater fulfillment: I learn new words, new structures and use right away what I’ve learned so that I am actually speaking Italian immediately which builds confidence and provides immediate satisfaction.
A fun experience: the streets, squares, palaces, Roman markets, etc, become more attractive, stimulating and lively and it’s more fun than learning in just a closed classroom.
The nationality and age mix at Percorsi d'Italiano varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 33. In the summer, the average age is 33.

Giuliana is a wonderful teacher who patiently encourages you to speak Italian. She gently corrects but never is a way that is discouraging. The lessons were interesting in that I learned about Italy and Italian culture as well as Italian

My Tutor Giammarco was very patient, clear and humorous tutor which made talking and listening in Italian much easier for me. In Italian we talked about who was the better Maradona or Messi, politics, history, similarities and differences between our countries, what I will be doing on my holiday and various other topics.
My questions were answered and if there were things I was stuck on then we would work on it in the moment and then move on when I was comfortable to do so.
When I was sick with the flu they were very flexible and they allowed me to do my classes on another day so that I did not miss out and this was something I really appreciated.
Their course structure adapted and changed to match my level so I did not feel like I was being spoon fed my lessons and it was all very much a casual affair.
My girlfriend's family who are Italian noticed a big difference in my ability and confidence so we are all happy with the results.
Thank you very much! It was a great pleasure to have you at our school!
I took four days of intensive intermediate conversation lessons with Giuliana. The school adapted the schedule to fit my own travel plans, which was much appreciated. Giuliana was among the best teachers I have had in any subject: organized, using a good combination of subject matter, written and virtual materials, and a walkabout. Aside from working patiently on my conversation skills, she shared many cultural insights as well, which enriched and enlivened the lessons.
The location of the school was for me ideal, as I was already quite familiar and comfortable with the neighborhood. For others, I think the location can also be a good fit, within walking distance of the Colosseum, the Aventine, Testaccio and Trastevere while being a bit removed from the crush of the center, well serviced by public transportation and with many excellent restaurants from the simple to the elaborate nearby.
I arranged my own housing minutes from the school easily and there are many options at a range of price points. All in all I cannot find anything to complain about. The experience was worthwhile and enjoyable and I hope to repeat it in the not-too-distant future.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback!
It would be great to repeat it again.
The facilities were excellent and the location was outstanding. It was a one to one course and the teacher was flexible to all my learning expectations.
