Internship vs. Volunteering?
Any student who participates in the EC internship programme will be working as an intern at your host internship site. What is the difference between an intern and a volunteer? As an intern, you will be working in a professional environment and will be expected to work on a full-time basis (approximately 30-35 hours per week). As a full-time member of the team, you will be actively involved in the organisation’s projects. Volunteers only work several hours per week (5-10) and are only given a limited amount of responsibility. Because this is a professional experience, please not that we do NOT offer volunteer placements.
General Internship Aims:
To provide practical work experience in companies for students and professionals.
To enhance employment opportunities.
To provide a means of increasing student awareness of international business culture and to improve business and interpersonal skills.
To provide individuals with a means of improving existing language skills in a professional environment

Show details » Read more...The host was nice, and the classes were very well organized with several topics indicated by the teacher and a few suggested by myself.
The classes were given only by a teacher, who was very demanding but whom I consider to be well-trained and knows pass clearly.
In general, I liked every class, and related with the teacher. I enjoyed your upfront claims and realization of activities.
I consider the school to be well-located, because I was staying in Cape Royal Hotel in Green Point.
I would have liked to stay for at least 30 days, but this time I could not.
EC is a professional center. I felt comfortable learning English. In a short course (two weeks, only) I could learn many useful things; grammar, reading, speaking and listening. They have a competent team always available to assist us with all queries we may have regarding our teachers, accommodation or any other related queries. I also liked the activities offered by school, such as surfing, safari etc. The teachers gave us their education, life experience, talents and work experience, as well as their skills and knowledge. The best advice I can give to everyone is to go to EC Cape Town. I loved EC and Cape Town.
Thank you for all kindness.

I had amazing one-to-one lessons in Cape Town. One of my teachers, Warren Lilley, showed high clarity and was well-prepared during all lectures. EC facilities were well equipped.

The school has a good location. You can find around many restaurants and shopping. The school organises many activities such as soccer, visits to beautiful places of Cape Town. The best experience that I had was climbing the table mountain and I did 4 hours of climbing. I did not like the internet because it is very slow at EC School.
Thank you
eu fiquei hospedado em um hotel muito bom perto da escola e isto facilitou muito. gostei muito dos professores. acho que poderia ter atividades extra curriculares com mais frequencia. estou convencendo meu filho a fazer um curso aí no final de ano.
Show details » Read more...My objective and the reason for going to EC to learn and develop my English are related to my job, and I found that this school works very well. The English course was very good. The problem is that I only had two weeks free to do the course. The objectives were achieved and now I need to prepare the next two week course One-to-One. The teacher I had (Mrs. Tonia Gozzet), worked very well. She is very professional and came every day with a good sense of humor, which I think is important. She was always forcing me to speak and because it was one of my objectives with the course, to be more fluent in English. The school is very well organized and the staff is always available to help. For me the location is perfect, with many hotels and restaurants around the school, and the hospital is near the school, which is good (hopefuly no one needs it). EC is located in the center of the wonderful city of Cape Town, which is perfect. I only stayed for two weeks so I don't have bad things to say.
