The English for Academic Purposes course is designed specifically for international students who intend to study in Australia, in the VET or Higher Education sector. The course aims to prepare students with the necessary research skills to succeed in further education and to familiarise them with the expectations placed upon them as tertiary level students in Australia.

Ashton College is located in Footscray, a few steps away from Footscray Train Station. The school's excellent location and its wide variety of courses make it an ideal location to study English: students can choose from general English courses, examination courses, or executive courses, and can decide between just a few lessons per week to fifty lessons per week. Ashton College has facilities that include a computer room with free internet access and self-study materials, a library and a student lounge. The school offers a monthly social and leisure calendar to invite students to practice their English skills while visiting popular points of interest in and around the city.

Well when I arrived at school I was extremely happy to have someone who also spoke the same language as my in the Portuguese case, but as the days went on I saw that I did not have to worry about speaking Portuguese because the staff are very capable and help you in any way so that you can feel as comfortable as possible even if you are in another country and speaking another language.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged A$ 60 when you register.
