Travelling to England in the capacity of a Demi-Pair is an excellent way to improve communication skills and develop fluency in the English language, as well as an economical way of spending time in England.
The Demi-Pair Programme is a cultural exchange for young European people aged between 19 to 27 years.
A Demi Pair lives as part of the family and is expected to be made welcome as a family member. She is an extra pair of hands for a busy household and should be treated as part of the family, not an employee.
Duties include childcare and light housework such as cleaning, ironing, washing-up at mealtimes and helping with the children.
Demi Pair should not be asked to undertake heavy duty chores. A Demi pair may be asked to take children to and from school, assist with after school activities and supervise them in a responsible manner in the absence of the parents according to the instructions given.
The entry requirements to undertake a demi-pair programme are as followed:
19 years or over
Intermediate level of English (B1)
Previous work experience with children is required
This programme is available for EEU and non EEU students.

The teachers were very attentive and managed to personalize their lessons by managing to make every student contribute to the classes. The location and facilities were very good, although the classroom was a tad smallish and the chairs weren't the most comfortable ones. As for the housing, the host family was incredibly attentive and made my stay a trip to remember very fondly.
