Course description

Our 50+ programme combines a course of English lessons in the morning with a selection of afternoon and evening activities designed to appeal to mature adult students who want to enjoy Jersey’s tourist attractions and beautiful scenery in the company of other people of the same age-group.

English) in a relaxed environment.

Four afternoon activites are included which may include trips to castles, a cream tea, Jersey zoo and coastal walks, as well as an island tour at the weekend. Optional evening activities include a pub night & quiz and a meal at a local restaurant or pub.

"I enjoyed this experience"

Evelyne Ambles, student from France

My experience was positive. I was in a small group of five people. We did what we wanted to do, which was to talk a lot. Our teachers combined vocabulary and grammar with conversation.
I also liked the social program
The school's is nice. Peterborough is a good guest house.

"Very good experience at Jersey"

Quentin MAUDUIT, student from France

Classes and teacher were good because this year there was more work in groups, so it was less boring than last year.

The location was very good, but this year the teacher was stricter when we were late. My host mother, on the other hand, was reassuring.

Concerning the activities, there were a lot of choices and I was satisfied but I would prefer that there were more seats on the bus going to the site for the activities.

"It was very edifying and fun."

Gertraud Schmidt, student from Germany

I stayed in very nice hotel. The environment of the school was fine. The teachers were friendly and committed. I particularly liked the lessons with Kirsti. She recognized my problems in listening in English and trained me very well. I wasn't able to take part in the activities because I was there with my dog. The quality of the CDs was sometimes poor. I liked the fact that the number of students in the group was low. Other than that, everything was good and I am considering returning next year.
