More about studying in Cairo »
Cairo is the capital of Egypt and is the largest city in Africa and the Arab world. Along with governmental, and economic influences, Cairo also has the oldest and largest film and music industries in the Arab world, meaning that students that are interested in studying Arabic courses in Cairo will not only get the history that it has to offer, but will also be submerged in great creators of culture as well. The city also has the world’s oldest institution of higher learning, al-Azhar University. Many international media, businesses, and organizations have regional headquarters in the city, and the Arab League was established in Cairo in 1945 and has been based there for most of its existence. Students will find that there are plenty sights to see during their time at an Arabic school in Cairo, and shouldn’t miss some of the magnificent architecture (both ancient and modern) and great cultural events like trips to the opera or to the Cairo International Film Festival.

Ahlan World offers Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) courses across 8 levels, from absolute beginner to advanced. MSA is the standard Arabic that forms the basis of all Arabic dialects across the Arab world.
ECA courses offer students an immersive study of the Egyptian dialect, which is used by locals for everyday
interactions and conversation.
The study of ECA focuses less on universal aspects of the Arabic language (which would be found in an MSA course) and instead provides the essentials of navigating life in an Arab country, including important
vocabulary, phrases, and sayings that students may hear daily while living abroad.
One-on-one classes at the school are available all year round upon request and can be combined with normal courses.
Teachers are trained, professional instructors.

Due to its widespread use in media and music, Egyptian Colloquial Arabic (ECA) or (Aameya) is the most commonly understood dialect of Arabic in the Middle East. It provides students with skills to interact with the spoken form of Arabic language used in Egypt.
This course is designed for students who don't have a long time to study the language and need to survive in Cairo and be able to communicate in Egyptian Arabic.
The Survival Egyptian Arabic content covers the spoken language that is used in everyday communication by Egyptians.
